Basement Burial is a San Antonio based ignorant slamming brutal death metal project that was born from the idea of bringing the local community a show that borders on the offensive with themes of serial killers and dark fetishes. Basement isn't just a band; it's a complete decent into the underbelly of society where anything goes. Songs like Algophilia, Intoxication Manslaughter, and Bolt Cutter Castration are themes that evoke a disturbing atmosphere with such blunt force that those who experience it will likely walk away with a lowered IQ from the primitive experience that Basement has come to be known for. Basement's sound centers around extremely raw and violent riffs that lay the unmistakable foundation for unrelenting and aggressive vocals. Every riff feels like the friction between a metal shovel being dragged across concrete. Picon, Leal, and Williams have perfected their sound and is one that feels handmade, hostile, and unapologetically extreme, almost as if it's clawing its way from beneath the foundation of death metal before them.
